Sign-in didn't finish: what the message on the login page means
Google sign-in sent you back to the login or sign-up page with a red message? The message says why sign-in did not finish and what to do next. Nothing was created or changed. The message shows once. If you refresh the page, it goes away, so you can try again on a clean page.
What each message means
- Google sign-in was cancelled. Try again when you're ready. You closed the Google window or clicked Cancel on Google's screen. Click Continue with Google again.
- That sign-in expired. Try again. You took a while on Google's screen, or came back to an old tab. Click Continue with Google again.
- That sign-in didn't finish. Try again. Something broke between Google and PPC Ad Editor, for example the page was opened in a different browser or the link was reused. Start again from the login page.
- Google sign-in didn't finish. Try again. Google did not complete the sign-in. Try again, or sign in with your email and password.
- Verify your Google email, or sign in with email and password. Google has not verified that email address yet. Verify it in your Google account, or use your email and password.
- Google didn't share an email address. Try again, or sign in with email and password. Pick a Google account that has an email address, or allow it to be shared.
- Google sign-in isn't available right now. Sign in with email and password, or contact support. Google sign-in is down on our side. Use your email and password for now.
- Sign-in didn't finish. Try again, or contact support if it keeps happening. Anything else went wrong. Try once more. If it keeps happening, contact support.
It keeps happening
- Open the login page in a fresh tab, in Safari or Chrome.
- Turn off any content blocker for the page, and allow pop-ups.
- Click Continue with Google and finish on Google's screen without switching tabs.
- Still stuck? Click Forgot password? or email yourself a sign-in link from the login page. That works whichever way you signed up.
If none of that works, contact support and say which message you saw.
