The demo editor

Questions and answersLast verified:

The demo at /demo is a sample editor you can try without an account. It opens the real editor filled with a made-up business, so you can click around before you sign up. It is not your workspace. Your own previews, sharing, and billing live in your account at the dashboard.

What can I do in the demo?

You can open sample dashboards and previews and edit the sample ads. Some copy and image slots are locked and show Studio. Clicking a locked slot opens a window that explains what Studio adds, with Keep exploring the sample to go back.

In the demo, New Preview and Quick build only offer Start from scratch.

How do I keep what I built in the demo?

Create a free account. In the demo, creating, renaming, duplicating, or deleting a dashboard opens Ready to make this workspace yours?, which says a free account keeps what you've built. Click Create a free account. It needs no payment details.

Why does the demo say Ready to make this workspace yours? when I add something?

Any change the demo would have to save to an account opens that same window, for example adding a campaign or uploading an image. The demo has nowhere to keep it, so it asks you to create a free account instead of showing an error. The edits you already made in the sample ads are carried into your new account when you sign up from that window.

I'm signed in. Does the demo change my real account?

No. The demo never writes to your account, even when you are signed in on the same browser. A change that would save opens Ready to make this workspace yours? instead. Asking Albert and contacting support still work from the demo. To work on your own ads, open your dashboard.

Why does an action in the demo ask me to upgrade?

The demo has no account behind it, so sharing, exporting, approvals, team invites, the asset library, and Suggest copy open an upgrade window instead. Click Keep exploring the sample to close it. What your own account can do depends on its plan, not on the demo.

Why does Shuffle stop working in the demo?

The demo allows 3 shuffles in a preview, then opens Ready for unlimited variations?. The window says Free includes 3 shuffles, but that cap is the demo's only. In your own account, Free tier included, Shuffle has no limit. Reload the demo to start the count again, or sign up to keep going.

Is the demo the same as Demo workspace?

No. Demo workspace is a choice on the first-ad screen, under I'll explore on my own. On the Free tier and during a trial it builds a sample dashboard and preview inside your own account, with ad copy, images, and extensions. On a paid plan it opens a blank dashboard of your own instead, because paid plans build real ads. The demo at /demo needs no account at all. See The sample ad.
