Edit the same preview with a teammate at the same time

Want to work on a preview together, live? Can my teammate and I edit the same ad at the same time? Yes. When two people in your workspace open the same preview, edits sync between you as you type. You do not need to refresh, save or take turns. This is part of every plan, Free tier included, for teammates who have a seat in your workspace.

How do I see who is editing?

When a teammate clicks into a field, a small coloured label with their name, such as Sam is editing, appears just above that field. It shows only while they are in the field, and it hides while you are typing in that same field yourself. If someone has no name on their profile, the label says Anonymous User is editing.

Can I see my teammate's cursor? Are there live cursors?

No. You do not see your teammate's mouse pointer or text cursor. You see the name label above the field they are in, and their changes as they type.

What if we both change the same field?

Avoid typing in the same field at once. Watch for the is editing label and pick a different headline or description. On X ads and Reddit ads, if you both changed the same field, a note says Someone else updated this field. Your text is still here. Click Keep mine to keep what you typed, or Use the latest to take your teammate's version. See Troubleshooting.

Can a client edit with us?

Only if you send them a share link set to Editor. A share link set to Viewer, Commentor or Approval lets the client look, comment or approve, but not change the ad. Editor lets them view and edit the ad copy, and Editor is a Studio feature. For someone who works in the ads every day, invite them to your workspace as a teammate instead. Free includes 2 seats.
