Copy a shared preview into your own workspace
When someone sends you a preview link and allows copying, Make it yours puts your own editable copy in your workspace. You do not need to go through the setup wizard.
How do I copy a preview someone shared with me?
- Open the link. If you see Make it yours, the owner allows copying. On a phone it sits in the bar at the bottom. On a computer it sits in the header of the shared page.
- Click Make it yours. If you are not signed in, Sign in to copy this preview opens. It goes into your own workspace, and if you are new, this creates your account. Continue with Google or use your work email.
- If you belong to more than one workspace, pick the one to copy into.
- A card says Copying to and your workspace name while it works. Then the copy opens in the editor, ready to edit. The owner's original does not change.
The note on the button explains it: "Copy this preview into your own workspace and edit it. No setup needed."
I do not see Make it yours. Why?
The owner has to turn on Allow copying for that link, and it is off until they do. Copying is also not offered on a link for a group of previews or for a Programmatic preview. If you clicked it and the page said copying is turned off for this link, ask the owner to turn it on.
What comes with the copy?
The ad, its images and logo. Comments come along only when the owner left Include comments ticked, and they arrive still open. Copied comments do not send notification emails.
What if my workspace is full?
A Free workspace holds 3 previews. When it is full, the page says your workspace is at its Free limit and offers two choices. Upgrade to Studio, or Replace a preview, which swaps one of your existing previews for this copy. If the shared ad uses a format that is part of Studio, the page says This format is part of Studio and offers an upgrade.
What if the copy does not work?
- Too many copies in a short time means you reached 10 copies in an hour. Try again in a few minutes.
- If it says nothing was added to your workspace, the link still works. Try again.
- If you open your own link and click Make it yours, it opens your preview instead of copying it.
How do I let my own client copy a preview?
In Share preview, tick Allow copying. See Share a preview with your client.
