The cookie banner: Accept or Reject Google Analytics cookies
Why is there a cookie banner at the bottom of PPC Ad Editor? If you open PPC Ad Editor from the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, a small banner at the bottom of the screen asks about analytics cookies. It reads We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how PPC Ad Editor is used and to measure our ads. They are only set if you accept. It has two buttons, Reject and Accept.
What happens if I click Reject?
Google Analytics cookies are not set, and the banner goes away. Everything in PPC Ad Editor works the same, so you can sign in, build previews, share them and pay as normal. Rejecting only turns off Google Analytics measurement for your browser.
What happens if I click Accept?
Google Analytics cookies are set, so we can see how PPC Ad Editor is used and measure our ads. The banner goes away.
Why don't I see the banner?
The banner only shows to visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Everywhere else it does not appear. Where you are comes from your connection, so a VPN or travel can change whether you see it. If we cannot tell where you are, you see the banner.
Can I change my answer?
Your choice is saved in your browser for about six months, and then the banner asks again. To change it sooner, clear this site's cookies in your browser and reload the page, and the banner shows again. A different browser or device asks separately.
Does the banner come back every time?
No. Once you click Reject or Accept it stays away in that browser until your choice expires after about six months, or until you clear this site's cookies.
