Client workspaces and manager accounts
Your workspace is your PPC Ad Editor account, with its own billing and members. Inside it, each client gets a dashboard on the Dashboards page, and each dashboard holds that client's previews. A Google Ads manager account is something else. It lists the client ad accounts you can pick from when you download an account into a preview.
How many client workspaces do I get?
Studio includes 3 client dashboards and 2 seats. Each client workspace is a dashboard on your Dashboards page. The Free tier includes 1 client dashboard, 3 previews and 2 seats. Users & dashboards, under Settings, shows how many seats and dashboards your plan has, with a link to Billing.
Can I add more client dashboards?
Yes, on Studio. An owner or a billing member opens Billing, clicks the plus button on Extra dashboards, then clicks Add. Each extra dashboard is added to your next invoice. On the Free tier the button reads Upgrade to add, and you upgrade to Studio first. Extra user seats work the same way.
How do I switch to another workspace?
Click the workspace name at the top of the left menu, under Workspace. The Workspaces list shows each workspace you belong to, with your role and how many members it has. Click one to switch. A check marks the one you are in.
I need another workspace for a new client
Add a client dashboard for the new client inside your workspace, rather than a second workspace. Studio includes 3 client dashboards, and you can add more on Billing.
Can I create a second workspace?
Not if you already own one. Each person can own one workspace, on Free and on Studio. For another client, add a client dashboard inside your workspace instead, on the Dashboards page. New workspace sits at the bottom of that menu, with Separate billing and members. It is available when you do not own a workspace yet, for example when you only belong to a team someone else owns. Otherwise it is greyed out and says why.
- Free includes one workspace. Upgrade to add another. You own a Free workspace and are in it.
- Only owners can create a workspace. You are in a workspace you do not own.
- You already have a workspace. You own a Studio workspace and are in it.
Can I move or copy a preview to another dashboard?
No. A preview stays in the dashboard where it was made, and there is no Move or Copy to another dashboard. You can:
- Duplicate a preview in the same dashboard. In the editor, open More options and click Duplicate preview, or click Duplicate on the preview's row. The copy is named after the original, with (Copy).
- Duplicate a whole dashboard. On the Dashboards page, click Duplicate on the dashboard's row. You get a new dashboard named after it, with (Copy), holding copies of its previews under their original names. A dashboard with more than 25 previews cannot be duplicated in one go. If Duplicate dashboard is not working on a dashboard with 40 previews, that is why. Duplicate single previews instead.
- Start a new preview inside the other dashboard.
Does duplicating count toward my plan?
Yes. A duplicated dashboard counts as one of your plan's dashboards, and its previews count toward your previews. On the Free tier, with 1 dashboard and 3 previews, duplicating a dashboard asks you to upgrade instead. If your role cannot create clients, Duplicate says Your role cannot create a client. Ask an editor or owner to create one, then open it from the dashboard.
How do manager accounts work?
When you import from Google Ads, the Import from Google Ads window lists your Google logins under Google login, and the accounts the chosen login can see under Google Ads account. A manager account shows with a Manager tag, and its client accounts sit under it. You cannot pick the manager itself. Pick one of the accounts under it, then click Next: choose campaigns. Search by name or customer ID to find one, or click Refresh list if an account is missing.
If a login shows No Google Ads accounts on this login, ask the account owner to add that email in Google Ads, or click Use another Google login.
How many Google Ads accounts can I link?
Can I connect two different Google logins for two clients on Free? No. The Free plan links one Google login. Connecting a second one says Free includes 1 Google Ads account. Unlink it to connect another. Studio can link as many Google logins as you need. PPC Ad Editor on the Studio plan is $149 a month.
To link an account to one client, click Link Google Ads on that dashboard's row. Unlink Google Ads removes it.
