I read your ChatGPT Ads Manager guide. What can I do in PPC Ad Editor? Where does Build a ChatGPT ad on the guide take me?
Build a ChatGPT ad opens sign-up for PPC Ad Editor. It does not carry anything from the guide into the editor. After you sign up, the first-ad screen asks Where does it run first? Click the ChatGPT tab to start a ChatGPT ad. Already signed up? Open New Preview and pick ChatGPT. See Your first ad.
Why does PPC Ad Editor stop my title at 24 characters when the guide says Ads Manager allows 50?
The editor keeps a ChatGPT ad's Title to 24 characters and its Description to 48, the top of OpenAI's recommended ranges, so the ad exports cleanly in the bulk-upload workbook. The editor notes under each field that OpenAI recommends 16 to 24 characters for a title and 32 to 48 for the description. If you want a longer title or copy, edit it in Ads Manager after you upload.
Can my client approve the ChatGPT ad from the link?
Your client can open the share link in a browser with no account and comment on the ad. Recording a client's sign-off with Approval is a Studio feature. See Approval.
Will OpenAI change my ChatGPT ad later?
It can, unless you opt out in OpenAI Ads Manager. Our guide explains that OpenAI turns on creative enhancements by default from October 30, 2026. With them on, OpenAI may reword the headline and description, resize the image or send the click to another page of the site, without showing each version first. That setting lives in Ads Manager under Manage settings, not in PPC Ad Editor.
The preview and share link in PPC Ad Editor show the ad exactly as you wrote it. They do not show versions OpenAI may make later. If your client agreed to exact wording, opt out in Ads Manager before the campaign starts.
Can I export the ChatGPT ad on the Free tier?
Yes. Export is on every plan, Free tier included. Pick OpenAI Ads Manager workbook in the export dialog and click Export workbook. See Export a ChatGPT ad to OpenAI Ads Manager.
Does PPC Ad Editor run my ChatGPT ads?
No. PPC Ad Editor does not connect to OpenAI Ads Manager or publish ads. You upload the workbook in Ads Manager, and OpenAI reviews and runs the ads there.
