Short answers to what people ask most about Ad Recap.

What changed last week?

Open the Ad Recap Dashboard and pick Last 7 days. The Written recap sums up the week, and the list below shows each change. If you get the weekly email, it arrives on Monday at 8:00 AM in the timezone set in Ad Recap Settings and covers the past 7 days.

Who changed it?

Each change on the Ad Recap Dashboard carries the initials of the person who made it. Hover them to see the name or email. Pick a person in the Anyone menu to see only their changes. When Google Ads or Microsoft Ads does not report a person, the Dashboard shows System and the scheduled recap email shows Unknown.

What time does the email arrive?

At 8:00 AM in the timezone picked in the Timezone menu on the Ad Recap Settings screen. It starts as UTC, so pick your own timezone to get the email at 8:00 AM your time. You cannot pick another hour.

Can a client or teammate get the email?

Yes. Add their address under Recipients on the Ad Recap Settings screen. The email covers every Connected account in the workspace, so add a client only if they may see all of those accounts.

Can I turn off the email?

Ad Recap Settings has no option to turn the recap email off. The choices under Delivery are Daily, Weekly and Monthly. You can remove addresses you added under Recipients, but the workspace's owners and admins always get the email. Members who are not owners or admins get it only when their address is on the Recipients list.

How far back can I see changes?

The Ad Recap Dashboard goes back up to 28 days, with Last 30 days. Ad Recap keeps unlimited history on a paid plan and during a trial. If your plan ends, your full history is kept for 30 days, then only the last 7 days are kept. Older changes are deleted each night and can't be restored. On the free plan, Last 14 days and Last 30 days are locked and only the last 7 days show. There is no 180-day cut-off on a paid plan. Ad Recap keeps every change it records while you are subscribed.

Is it free?

Ad Recap has a free plan with 1 ad account and the last 7 days of history. The paid plan is $19 a month per linked account and keeps unlimited history. See Is Ad Recap free? The Ad Recap free plan.

Does it delete my history when my plan ends?

Not straight away, even if you cancel. When your Ad Recap plan or trial ends, your full history is kept for 30 days. After that, only the last 7 days are kept, and older changes are deleted each night. Click Reactivate before the date shown in Ad Recap Settings to keep all of it. Upgrading later keeps unlimited history from then on, but changes already deleted can't be restored.

Who can change settings and accounts? Permissions

Everyone who can open Ad Recap on the workspace can add and disconnect accounts, run Sync now, and change Ad Recap Settings, including Delivery, Timezone and Recipients. Ad Recap has no setting to limit these to some members. Ad Recap covers the whole workspace, so it opens for owners, admins and members with All dashboards access, not for a member set to Selected dashboards only. Only workspace owners and billing members can start an Ad Recap trial or buy Ad Recap. Scheduled recap emails always go to the workspace's owners and admins, plus everyone on the Recipients list.

Disconnecting an account deletes its saved change history for everyone in the workspace.

Does it change anything in my ad accounts?

No. Ad Recap only reads change history. It cannot pause campaigns, edit budgets or spend money.

Can it undo a change?

No. Click the change on the Ad Recap Dashboard to see its Previous and New values, then change it back yourself in Google Ads or Microsoft Ads.

How often does it check for changes?

Ad Recap checks each Connected account every 6 hours. When you open the Dashboard, it also refreshes any account that has not synced for 4 hours. Sync now on the Dashboard fetches changes straight away.

What does another account cost? Is there a maximum?

Each extra linked account in Ad Recap is $19 a month, on top of $19 a month for the first account. When you subscribe, the checkout's Google Ads accounts covered setting picks how many accounts the plan covers, from 1 to 20. The maximum number of accounts you can pay for at checkout is 20.
