Read an AdMinerX capture

How-to guidesLast verified:

Every upload becomes one capture with its own page, titled AdMinerX capture. So does every search Albert runs for you. A capture opens right after the upload, and this page explains what you are looking at. To reopen a capture later, click its search term under Recent searches on the AdMinerX page, or in AdMinerX job history.

The numbers at the top of an AdMinerX capture

The top card of the AdMinerX capture page shows four numbers.

  • ads: how many ads this capture kept.
  • seen: everything AdMinerX read from the page, ads and extras together.
  • skipped: ads left out because of your plan's limit.
  • budget: how many ads this capture may keep. On Lite it is 5. On Pro it is unlimited for an upload and 50 for a search Albert ran.

Beside them you see the search term, the engine and the time of the capture. The engine reads Your browser for an upload. For a search Albert ran, it names the search engine used, such as Standard, and the line under it names the place the search ran from, such as New York, NY.

The ads table on the AdMinerX capture page

Each row is one sponsored ad. The columns are Campaign, Ad group, Headlines, Descriptions, Final URL and Sitelinks.

  • Campaign is the search term.
  • Ad group is Ad1, Ad2 and so on, one per ad, in the order the ads appeared.
  • Sitelinks is the number of sitelinks the ad showed.

Below the ads, the AdMinerX capture page lists the related searches and People Also Ask phrases from the same page. They are not ads, and each one shows match type Broad. The shopping offers table lists each offer with Offer, Price, Advertiser and URL.

When an AdMinerX capture shows no paid ads

No paid ads on this results page means the capture found no sponsored ads, so there is nothing from it to send to Studio. The upload card appears again on the same AdMinerX capture page, with the search term already in the Keyword field.

  • For an upload, the note says your browser's copy of the page had no sponsored ads. That was Google's real answer for that search at that moment. Upload a newer copy of the page later.
  • For a search Albert ran, the note says a server search does not always receive the ads your own browser sees. Search the phrase on Google yourself. If you see ads there, save that page and upload it on the same capture page.

While a capture is still running

A search Albert ran can read running for up to about a minute. The capture page reloads itself every few seconds and says Waiting for the first capture… until ads arrive. Click Cancel to stop the search, and nothing more is kept from it. The capture page itself does not show a status word. A search that ended with no ads, whether it found none, failed or was cancelled, says No paid ads on this results page. Job history shows whether it was done, failed or cancelled. If the page says That job does not exist in this workspace., open the capture from job history in the workspace where you ran it.

Buttons on the AdMinerX capture page

  • Refresh reloads the capture.
  • Download .xlsx saves the capture as a spreadsheet.
  • Send to Studio opens the send page. It is greyed out when the capture has no ad copy.
  • Cancel shows only while a capture is running. It stops a search Albert ran.
  • Download .xlsx is greyed out while a capture is running.

An AdMinerX capture won't open

If the capture page says That job does not exist in this workspace, the link is for a capture made with another person's sign-in, or the link is incomplete. Each capture opens only for the person who made it. Open your own captures from AdMinerX job history.

When a capture stopped early

If Lite cut the capture short, a notice reads This job stopped at its 5-ad Lite budget. Upgrading to Pro raises it; the ads already captured are kept.

If a search Albert ran on Pro reached 50 ads, the notice reads One search collects up to 50 ads, and this source had more. Everything captured is kept. It also tells you to run the search again later to catch newer creatives.
