Fix common pacing problems
Start with the message Budget Pacer shows. Most problems come from data that has not refreshed yet, campaigns that are not in a tracker, or a period with no completed days.
Spend is missing or looks too low
- Open Accounts in Budget Pacer and check the account's Status. Current means its data is verified. Anything else means spend may still be arriving.
- Check that the campaigns are in a tracker. Open Settings, then Tags, and open the Untagged tab. Untagged campaigns do not roll into pacing.
- Check Actual spend through on the dashboard. Spend after that date, including today, is not counted yet.
- Check the period. The dashboard shows only the month or quarter you picked.
Data refresh needs attention banner
This banner at the top of Budget Pacer means one or more connected accounts are not current. Reports keep using the last verified data until the refresh catches up. Click Review connected accounts to see which account and why, then retry the sync or reconnect it. If the Sync evidence says The saved login needs to be reconnected., see Connect Google Ads or Microsoft Ads accounts. Do not unlink the account first.
Google Ads not working in Budget Pacer: Google says temporarily unavailable
If a Google Ads account or the account picker says Google connection is temporarily unavailable on our side. We've been alerted. Please try again shortly., Google refused a request for a reason on our side. Your Google login is fine, so do not disconnect or reconnect it. The team is alerted on its own. Reports keep the last verified data, and the sync status says Last verified data was preserved. Try again shortly.
Reconnect Microsoft Ads banner
This banner means a Microsoft Ads sign-in has expired, so that account has stopped refreshing. Reports keep using the last verified data. Click Connect Microsoft Ads on the banner, pick the same sign-in you used before, and finish the sign-in. The banner goes away once the account is connected again.
Data sync issue on the dashboard
The Simple dashboard says Data sync issue when the latest refresh failed. Pacing is based on the last successful sync. Click Retry sync, which opens the Sync settings page.
Pace looks wrong today
Budget Pacer paces on completed days only, so today's spend is left out until the day is over. On the first day of a period, pace shows N/A. Both are expected.
Dashboard data is unavailable
If the Budget Pacer dashboard says Dashboard data is unavailable with Selected tracker metrics do not share one supported currency, or Selected dashboard metrics do not share the linked-account currency, the accounts behind the trackers you are viewing report in more than one currency. Budget Pacer does not convert currency. Pick one currency in the Currency menu above the tracker list, or pick Group by currency in the grouping menu, so each currency gets its own section and totals. A workspace with several currencies already shows one section per currency on All currencies. See Track budgets in multiple currencies.
This period has not started yet
If the dashboard says No data yet for a period, you picked a future month or quarter. Pick the current one.
Projections or Benchmarks say the tool isn't enabled
If Projections says The Projections tool isn't enabled for this workspace, or Benchmarks says The Benchmarks tool isn't enabled for this workspace, that tool is not turned on for your workspace. The page loaded correctly, and the rest of Budget Pacer works as usual. These tools are not part of the standard plans. To ask about them, ask Albert to open a support ticket.
Budget Pacer will not open after I sign in
If Budget Pacer says We couldn't open Budget Pacer, sign-in did not finish. Click Sign in to Budget Pacer, or Back to Studio if you are already signed in there. If it keeps happening, contact support.
If your company signs in with single sign-on, click Sign in with SSO on the Budget Pacer sign-in page. It takes you to the PPC Ad Editor sign-in and brings you back to Budget Pacer.
Sync or new trackers are blocked
If a sync or a new tracker is blocked because of your trial or plan limits, see the help page on plan limits and trials.
My tracker's budget will not update from Google Ads or Microsoft Ads
Hover over the label on the tracker's row in Budget Tracker. It names the reason.
- Platform budget paused. The tracker no longer covers every campaign on its ad account, because some of them sit on another tracker. Put the account's campaigns back on one tracker, then click Pull account budgets.
- No billing access for Google Ads or Microsoft Ads. The ad account would not let Budget Pacer read the insertion order. Ask the person who manages billing on that account for access, then pull again.
- No Google Ads I/O or No Microsoft Ads I/O. No approved order matched. A pending, unlimited or open-ended order, or one in another currency, is skipped, and the month keeps its current amount.
- Override. You edited a month by hand. Click Use platform value on the row to take the platform amount again.
An ended Budget Pacer trial cannot pull account budgets. See the page on using the budget from your insertion order for the full list.
I cannot find a new tracker on the dashboard
If the dashboard is grouped, the tracker sits in a section. Check Ungrouped, and expand any collapsed section by clicking its heading. Choose No grouping in the grouping menu to see one flat list.
