Get help in Budget Pacer: Albert, the pacing assistant, and support

How-to guidesLast verified:

For a quick answer, ask Albert inside Budget Pacer. For questions about your own pacing numbers, use the pacing assistant. To reach a person, ask Albert to open a support ticket, or use the contact page.

Open Albert in Budget Pacer

Click Ask Albert at the bottom of the left menu, or the Albert icon on the right edge of the page, or press Cmd+J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows. Albert opens on the right. He is the same Albert as in Studio, and your conversation carries over in the same browser. Clear chat, the trash icon in his header, empties the conversation, with Undo for 5 seconds.

Ask about your live pacing numbers

At the top of Albert's pane in Budget Pacer it says Questions about your pacing numbers? The pacing assistant reads your live spend and budgets. Click Ask about my pacing data.

A separate panel opens, Albert with Budget Pacer under the name. Pick a question or type your own in Ask about your budgets…:

  • How are my budgets pacing?
  • Which trackers need attention?
  • What Required Daily Spend should I plan for?
  • Summarize my month-to-date performance

It answers from your own trackers, not from a manual. An answer can end with Based on: and what it used, and one follow-up question you can tap. Rate it with the thumbs under Did this help?

What the pacing assistant cannot do

The pacing assistant only reads your account data. It cannot change a budget, tag a campaign or edit your ad accounts, so it points you to the page to use instead. It cannot open a support ticket. The conversation is not kept: closing the panel ends it, and the next one starts fresh.

When the pacing assistant cannot answer or keeps showing an error

  • Too many Ask Albert requests. Try again shortly. means the workspace sent a lot of questions at once. Wait a moment and ask again.
  • Albert could not answer just now. Try again. or Albert returned an empty reply. Try again. means that one answer failed. Ask the question again.
  • AI features are currently disabled for your account. Please contact support if you believe this is an error. means AI answers are switched off for your login. Contact support to have it looked at.

If the pacing assistant's main AI provider cannot be reached, it answers on a backup provider instead, so you get an answer rather than an error.

Ask Albert about pacing from PPC Ad Editor

Where Albert's Do it cards are switched on for your workspace, you can also ask Albert in PPC Ad Editor how your trackers are pacing, without opening Budget Pacer. He reads each tracker's pacing the same way the pacing assistant does: a quarterly tracker against the current quarter, and a monthly tracker against the current month, so an over-budget month earlier in the quarter does not make this month look like it is overpacing. Trackers in different currencies are each read in their own currency. Budget Pacer has to be active for your workspace.

Reach a person

Ask Albert in the pane to talk to a person. He opens a support ticket with your conversation, gives you the ticket number, and the team replies by email. A box under his reply, Anything else the team should know?, adds details to that same ticket.

You can also use the contact page at https://www.ppcadeditor.com/contact-us/. Every Budget Pacer email, including pacing alerts and the daily digest, has a Help link at the bottom that opens the same page.

What to include when you contact support

Say which tracker or ad account the question is about, the period you were looking at on the dashboard, and the exact message you saw. That helps the team find the problem faster.

When a screen asks you to contact support

A few sign-in errors, such as We couldn't open Budget Pacer, suggest contacting support. First try the button on that screen, Sign in to Budget Pacer or Back to Studio. If the error keeps coming back, contact support through the contact page and include the message.
