Read the Advanced dashboard view
The Advanced view of the Budget Pacer dashboard adds period cards, total KPI cards, a burn-down chart and a wider tracker table. Click Advanced next to View at the top of the dashboard to open it.
Period cards on the Advanced dashboard
- Period: the dates and the length of the cycle in days.
- Actual Spend Through: the last completed day that counts.
- Remaining Window: days left for Required Daily Spend.
- Period Completed: the share of completed days, such as 12 of 30.
- Today: In progress, with today's spend excluded.
- Pacing Window: the Pacing Window card shows the range where total spend should be by today.
Total cards across all trackers, and what the Current Pace card means
- Total budget: the monthly or quarterly cap across trackers.
- Total spend: spend so far, with actual spend through the last completed day and today so far listed separately.
- Current Pace, the card that was called Ahead / Behind Pace before 21 October: the pace of all trackers together, weighted by budget, as a percent where 100% is exactly on plan. Above 100% is faster than planned and below 100% is slower, with a short caption such as spending faster than planned. It is the same number the Simple view shows. The number is green from 95% to 105% of the ideal pace, amber from 80% to 115%, and red outside that. This is not the percent of budget spent.
- Projected spend: where total spend lands at period end, based on completed days only.
- Required Daily Spend: the combined daily spend needed to land on budget, compared with the last completed day.
The attention banner and chart
When a tracker with a budget is pacing above 115% or below 80% of the ideal pace, a banner says how many funded trackers need attention. It names each one with its pace, and any projected overrun of the monthly or quarterly cap. Click Review to jump to the table, or View required daily spend to open Budget Tracker. With one tracker in the banner, that button shows its required amount per day instead. Click the cross to hide the banner.
The Burn-down chart plots actual spend, ideal pace, projected spend and the budget cap for one tracker at a time. Use Hide chart or Show chart to toggle it.
Group the table into sections
The grouping menu above the table can split trackers by platform, by your own groups or by currency, with a subtotal for each section. The Group trackers page explains how to set groups up.
Columns in the Advanced tracker table
Tracker is always the first column. To change the order of the others, click Columns in the table's title bar and use Move left or Move right, or Reset column order. Save a view to keep the order.
- Planned media budget: the tracker's budget for the period.
- Spend: total spend, with the completed-day and today split underneath.
- Remaining: budget minus completed-day spend.
- Budget Used: the percent of the budget already spent.
- Projected spend: the period-end estimate. Red means over budget.
- Daily: the budget spread evenly over every day of the period.
- Required Daily Spend: the daily average needed from here.
- Yesterday's spend: spend on the latest completed day shared by the accounts in the view, with a dash until that day has closed. The date shows when you hover over it.
- Δ vs last day: Required Daily Spend minus spend on the last completed day.
- Current Pace, formerly Ahead / Behind Pace: the tracker's pace badge, such as 109.7%, or No budget, or Spend w/o budget. The badge is green from 95% to 105% of the ideal pace, amber from 80% to 95% or above 105% up to 115%, and red outside that.
The KPI Goal column shows each tracker's target, or Add target when it has none. Once any tracker has a target for the period, you also see Actual / Goal and Recommendation.
Untagged campaigns and the Total row
If some campaigns are in no tracker, a row shows how many untagged campaigns there are, with Tag campaigns in Settings to include them. Their spend sits under Total Spend, marked excluded from pacing totals. The Total row adds up every tracker, and it follows your column order.
