Find past scans in job history

How-to guidesLast verified:

Where are my old scans? Job history lists every AdScanner scan you have run, newest first, so you can go back to older scans. Scans Albert ran for you are listed too. Open it from History in the AdScanner section of the left menu, or click All N jobs → beside Recent captures on the AdScanner home page.

What each row in job history shows

  • When is when the job last changed, such as Today · 09:14.
  • Advertiser is the domain or advertiser ID you searched. Click it to open the job.
  • What does the Run by column show? The email address of the account that ran the job. It shows a dash for captures sent by the Chrome extension.
  • Engine names what ran the job. A server search and an extension capture show different names.
  • Status is done, partial, running or failed. A job you stopped while it ran shows cancelled, and a job waiting to start shows queued.
  • Captured is how many ads the job kept.
  • Skipped counts the ads your plan's limit left out, shown like 3 (quota).

Send to Studio at the end of a row opens that job, where you pick the ads to send.

Filter job history

Type in Filter by advertiser to find a domain or ID. The status menu has All statuses, Done, Partial, Running and Failed. A cancelled job is listed under Failed, and a queued job under Running. The engine menu has Both engines, Extension and Server. Refresh reloads the list. If nothing fits, the page says No jobs match these filters.

How long job history keeps scans

Job history keeps your scans on Lite and on Pro. The line under the Job history title ends with History is kept., and the footer of the table says History is kept again, next to a count of your jobs and the ads captured.

Who sees your job history

Job history lists the scans run with your own sign-in, whichever workspace you open AdScanner from. A teammate who signs in with their own account sees their own scans. To share what you found, send the ads into a PPC Ad Editor dashboard your teammates can open.

What partial and failed mean

partial means the job reached your plan's limit and the advertiser has more ads. On Lite that is 5 ads in one job. On Pro it is 50 ads in one search. failed means the search did not bring back ads. running means the job is still working. cancelled means you stopped it.

Stop a job that is still running

Click the job to open it. While it reads running, the job page has a Cancel button next to Refresh. Click it and the job shows cancelled. Ads already kept stay in the job, and the search still counts toward your daily searches. A job that still says running long after it started is stuck. Cancel it, then run the search again from the home page.

Recent captures on the home page

The AdScanner home page lists your four newest jobs under Recent captures, with the same columns as job history. It reads Loading recent captures… while it loads. A search you just ran shows up there as soon as it finishes. With no jobs yet it says No captures in your jobs yet and Search an advertiser above to find every creative they are running on Google.

When job history is empty

With no scans yet, the page says No captures in your jobs yet and offers Go to Capture, which opens the AdScanner home page to run a search. At /adscanner/jobs the same empty page says No jobs yet and Start one from Capture.

Job history does not load

While it loads, the page says Loading job history…. If it says Could not load job history with a code in brackets, reload the page. If the code is about sign-in, such as NOT_SIGNED_IN or INVALID_TOKEN, sign in to PPC Ad Editor again, then reopen job history. If the page says You are signed out, click Sign in.

Two addresses, one list

/adscanner/history and /adscanner/jobs both open Job history with the same table. Only the empty-page wording differs.
