How Amazon Title Truncation Works

Amazon product titles can be up to 200 characters long, but they are heavily truncated in search results and ad placements. Unlike platforms that use fixed character limits, Amazon truncates titles based on available pixel width, which means the exact truncation point varies by device, placement, and font rendering.

On desktop search results, approximately 70-80 characters are visible before truncation occurs. On mobile search results, only about 50-60 characters are shown. Product detail pages show more of the title, but sponsored placements are often more constrained.
