Five ways to use PPC Ad Editor with your clients and your team, the screens to use for each, and the plan each step needs.

## Mock up a search ad for client sign-off

Show a client the exact search ad before it runs. In PPC Ad Editor, open the client's dashboard, click New Preview, and pick Google Ads, then Responsive Search Ad. Under How do you want to start?, pick Draft with AI or Start from scratch. Edit the headlines and descriptions in the editor, then click Copy client link above the live preview and send it. Your client opens the ad without an account. Sharing and comments work on the Free tier. To record a sign-off, open Share settings under More options and set the link to Approval. Your client then sees Approve and Request changes. Approval is a Studio feature.

## Check character limits before the ad goes live

Catch lines that run too long before launch. In the PPC Ad Editor editor, each headline and description on a responsive search ad shows a count such as 28/30. A line can run past the limit there, and the field turns red until you shorten it. On other formats the field stops at the limit, including when you paste. To change a word everywhere, use Find and replace, the magnifier at the top right. This works on the Free tier and on Studio. The limits are the editor's, not a promise that the platform will approve the ad.

## Make previews for several channels from one ad

Show the same message on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube. In New Preview, pick Multi-Channel, choose formats under Select Ad Formats, enter the copy once under Enter Ad Content, and set a base name under Name Your Previews. Tick Group these previews to keep them in one grouped editor with a tab for each format. Its Send for approval button shares the whole group with one link. To start from an existing preview, open its menu in the dashboard's Previews list and click Create for other channels. The original stays as it was. Multi-Channel and Create for other channels are Studio features. Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube previews do not download as ads those platforms import.

## Hand a Google Ads Editor file to whoever launches

Give the person who builds the campaign a file to import instead of retyping. In the PPC Ad Editor editor, click Export at the top right, then Google Ads Editor CSV. In the dialog, pick Google Ads Editor (CSV) and click Export CSV. Export shows on responsive search, responsive display, and Performance Max previews. Export is on every plan, Free tier included. The download is a file, and PPC Ad Editor sends nothing to Google Ads. The person imports the file in Google Ads Editor.

## Pull a running Google Ads campaign into a preview

Review ads that are already running without copying by hand. In New Preview, pick Google Ads and a search, display, or Performance Max format. Under How do you want to start?, pick Import from Google Ads and click Connect & import. Connect the Google account, pick the ad account, click Next: choose campaigns, tick the campaigns, and click the Import button, which shows how many you picked, such as Import 3 campaigns. You get a preview with the campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and extensions. The Free plan can import from one linked Google Ads account, and Studio can link as many as you need. It changes nothing in Google Ads.
