The assistant writes the copy, the PPC Ad Editor connector fits it to the format's character limits and lays it out like the real ad. Click Save & share on the mockup to keep it in a free PPC Ad Editor account and get a link for your client. ## How do I add the connector to Claude? The quickest way is Claude's connector directory, where PPC Ad Editor has a Community listing. You need a Claude account. No PPC Ad Editor account is needed. 1. Go to ppcadeditor.com/mcp/claude/ and click Connect to Claude. It opens the PPC Ad Editor listing in Claude's connector directory. Sign in to Claude if it asks. 2. Add the connector from the listing. There is no PPC Ad Editor sign-in step. 3. In a chat, check that PPC Ad Editor is switched on in the tools menu, then ask for an ad, for example a Google Search ad for your bakery's website with sitelinks. ### Add it by URL instead On ppcadeditor.com/mcp/claude/, Add by URL shows the manual steps. Use Claude on the web or the desktop app. 1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. 2. Choose Add custom connector. 3. Name it PPC Ad Editor and paste https://studio.ppcadeditor.com/api/mcp/preview as the URL. 4. Choose Add. There is no sign-in step. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organization first. ## Which connector URL do I use? In the Claude chat apps, use https://studio.ppcadeditor.com/api/mcp/preview. That connector has two tools: it shows an ad mockup and looks up ad format specs. Neither one writes to an account, and it treats everyone as a guest, even if you add an API key. If you added the connector earlier with https://studio.ppcadeditor.com/api/mcp, it still shows mockups. In developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, PPC Ad Editor customers with an API key connect to https://studio.ppcadeditor.com/api/mcp instead, which adds a tool that saves previews straight into the workspace and returns a share link. See Create ad previews from an AI assistant. ## What does the mockup show? One ad in one format, laid out the way our share page shows it. In a wide window you see the campaign and ad group names, the ad's fields with character counters, and Ad Preview with One Ad, Three Ads or Five Ads, Shuffle, and desktop or mobile. In a narrow chat you see the phone layout, and Ad text shows the fields. If you do not name a platform, the assistant usually makes a Google Search ad. For another format, ask again and name it, for example now show it as an Instagram story. The connector does not create images. The assistant can pass a link to a picture on your own website, and the mockup shows it in the chat, including Claude on the web. The link must be a public https address to a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP file of up to 10 MB that answers within about 5 seconds. Otherwise the mockup shows a grey box that says Image couldn't load. Images stored in PPC Ad Editor and YouTube thumbnails always show. When you save, the preview keeps the original image address. ## Why are the callouts on my Google ad in the chat mockup? In a Google Search mockup, callouts show after the description on the same line, separated by dots, up to four of them. They are not part of the description text, and the description keeps its own 90 character limit. ## Does a Facebook or Instagram mockup need a description? No. On a Facebook or Instagram single image or carousel ad, the description is the optional short link line under the headline, and the mockup leaves it out when there is none. The body of the post is the primary text. ## How do I keep the ad or send it to a client? 1. Click Save & share on the mockup. The chat may ask you to confirm before the link opens in your browser. 2. The Save your ad page opens. Click Create free account, or Sign in if you already have one. 3. The page says Saving your ad…, then Your ad is saved with a Share link. Click Copy and send the link to your client to review and comment. 4. Click Open in editor to keep working on it in PPC Ad Editor. Your plan's usual limits apply when you save. If a limit stops the save, the page says We couldn't save this ad, with See plans and Try again. ## How long does the mockup last? An unsaved mockup can be saved for 7 days, then it is deleted. After that the save page says This preview has expired. Ask the assistant to make the mockup again for a new link. ## Is there a limit on chat previews? Yes, chat previews have a daily limit. When you reach it, the assistant says Daily preview limit reached. Save a preview to a free PPC Ad Editor account to keep working there. On a very busy day a mockup can show without a save link. If the assistant says PPC Ad Editor previews are paused for now. Try again later., previews are paused for a short time. ## Does the connector post my ads or see my chat? No. It builds mockups only. It does not publish ads or change anything in your ad accounts. It only gets what the assistant sends for the ad, such as the copy, the web address and image links, and nothing is saved to a workspace until you sign in and save. See Your ad content. ## The assistant does not use PPC Ad Editor Check that PPC Ad Editor is switched on in the chat's tools menu, then ask again and name it, for example Use PPC Ad Editor to preview this ad. To remove it, open Settings, then Connectors in Claude, choose PPC Ad Editor and remove it.
