Need a coworker or another person in your account? Invite them into your workspace as a teammate from Settings, under Users, with Invite teammate. A teammate signs in and works in your workspace. A guest is someone you send a share link to. A guest needs no account and only sees what that link shares.

## How do I invite someone to my workspace?

1. In the left menu, under Studio, click Settings, then Users. You can also search Invite teammate in quick search.
2. Click Invite teammate. Add member opens.
3. Under Enter team member email addresses, type one address or several, separated by commas.
4. Under Select role, pick Admin or Standard User. An Owner also sees Owner.
5. Under Dashboard access, pick All dashboards or Selected dashboards only. With Selected dashboards only, check each dashboard under Assign dashboards.
6. Click Send invite. Each person gets an email invitation, and the footer says Invite sent.

Owners and Admins see Invite teammate. Members with the Billing role do not, and cannot change roles or dashboard access. You can invite teammates on the Free tier too. Free includes 2 seats, you and one teammate. Studio also includes 2 seats, plus 3 client workspaces, and extra seats can be added on the Billing page.

## What can each role do?

- Owner: full control over the account and all settings. Invite users, delete users, manage billing, and view and assign dashboards.
- Admin: manage users and dashboards. Invite and delete users, and view and assign dashboards. Billing stays with the Owner.
- Billing: some members have this role so they can handle payment. It is not one of the roles you pick in Select role. They see Plans & billing and Invoices & receipts, and can buy, change or cancel a plan. They do not see Invite teammate and cannot change roles or dashboard access.
- Standard User: view assigned dashboards only. They can work on previews in the dashboards they are given, and cannot invite or remove people.

Owners and Admins always see every dashboard. A Standard User sees the dashboards you assign. With All dashboards they see every dashboard, including ones made later. With Selected dashboards only they do not see dashboards made later. Change access later with Manage access. See Users and dashboards.

Someone who was just invited, or whose role just changed, may be blocked from a few sensitive actions for two to three days. That protects your account.

## Who can make someone an Owner?

Only an Owner can invite someone as Owner, make a teammate an Owner, or change an Owner's role. An Admin does not see Owner in Select role.

Every account keeps at least one Owner. If you try to change the only Owner to another role, you see "Every account needs at least one Owner. Make someone else Owner first." Make another teammate Owner, then change the first one.

If an Admin tries to change an Owner's role, Edit permissions says "Only an Owner can change Owner roles."

## Can an Admin invite an Owner?

No. Only an Owner can invite someone as Owner or resend an Owner invite. If an Admin tries, the invite is not sent and the message says Only an Owner can invite someone as Owner. or Only an Owner can resend an Owner invitation.

An Owner invite also stops working if the person who sent it is no longer an Owner when it is accepted. The person you invited sees This Owner invitation is no longer valid. Ask an account Owner to invite you again. An Owner then sends a new invite.

When a role change, an invite or a removal is refused, you see the reason once. Studio does not send the same request again, so a refused invite never turns into a second invite.

## What is a guest versus a teammate?

- A teammate is invited by email, takes a seat, signs in, and sees the dashboards their role allows.
- A guest opens a share link in a browser with no account and no seat. They see only the preview or group on that link, and only what the link allows: view, comment, approve or edit. Each comment they post carries a Guest badge.

To let a client review one ad, send a share link instead of inviting them.

## Does a client on a share link use one of my seats?

No. A client who opens a share link is a guest and does not use one of your 2 seats on Free, or any seat on Studio. Only teammates you invite by email take a seat.

## What can a guest do on the Free tier?

On Free, can a client approve stuff or just look? Just look and comment. A guest on a Free share link can view, or view and comment when the link is set to Commentor. A preview takes up to 3 guest comments on the Free tier, and one preview at a time can have a client link. Approval and Editor links are Studio features, so on the Free tier a guest cannot approve or edit. Studio has no guest comment limit, and every preview can have its own link. Guests never use one of your seats on either plan.

## How do I resend or cancel an invite?

An invite that has not been accepted shows the email address with a Pending tag and Invite sent, with how long ago. Click the three-dot menu on that row.

- Resend invite sends the email again. A note says Invite resent to, with the address.
- Cancel invite withdraws it after you confirm.

An invitation link works for 7 days. Resend invite gives it another 7 days.

## Why can't I invite anyone?

- "No seats left", followed by a prompt to add a seat in Billing. Every seat is in use. Add a seat in Billing, or remove someone.
- "This workspace can't buy team access online. Contact support to add users."
- "Team access could not be verified". Refresh the page before inviting, changing or removing members.
- You are a Standard User or have the Billing role, so Invite teammate does not show. Ask an Owner or Admin.

The note at the bottom of Users says how many seats and dashboards your plan has, with a link to Billing.
