Can I make a LinkedIn ad on the Free plan? Yes. LinkedIn single image or video and carousel ads are open on the current Free plan. On an earlier Free plan they show a Studio badge.

A LinkedIn ad in the editor has a company logo, a company name, introductory text, a headline, a description, a landing page URL, a call to action, and images or a video. The live preview shows it in the LinkedIn feed. LinkedIn single image or video and LinkedIn carousel are Studio formats.

## Add the company logo

Under Company Logo, click Add Logo, or click the No company logo selected box. That box only means no logo is set yet. Choose a logo from your asset library, or upload one, then click Done. Click Change to swap it. To remove it, hover over the logo, click the remove icon on it, titled Remove logo, then click Remove. On a carousel that icon removes it straight away.

Until a logo is set, the preview shows a grey circle with the first letter of the company name.

## Set the company name

The name comes from the Business Name section, below the call to action. Click Add Existing or Create New, then click the name to use. Pick No Business Name to hide it. The preview then shows the landing page's domain, or Company Name.

## Write the text

A single image or video ad has one of each:

- Introductory Text. Recommended 150 characters, max 600. The count turns orange past 150 and red past 600. A paste that would take it past 600 is not added.
- Headline. Recommended 70 characters, max 200.
- Description. Recommended 100 characters, max 300.

The headline and description can run past their max while you edit. The field and its count turn red until you shorten it.

## Landing page and call to action

Type the page the ad opens in Landing Page URL. Pick the button under Call to Action: Apply, Download, View Quote, Learn More, Sign Up, Subscribe, Register, Join, Attend, or Request Demo. New ads start on Learn More.

## Add images or a video

Click Add Image. A picker opens on your asset library, where you can also upload. Pick your images, then click Done. Images can be JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, up to 20 MB each. A single image or video ad takes up to 10 images. The LinkedIn preview shows images at their own shape, without cropping.

As of 21 October 2026, a single image or video ad can play a video. Click Upload video and pick an MP4, MOV, or WebM file up to 100 MB, or drag it onto the No videos added yet box. To use a link, click Add Video, paste a YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox link, and click Add video. A YouTube video should be Public or Unlisted so your client can play it. A Google Drive or Dropbox file is copied into your account and must be shared as Anyone with the link. Video storage is capped per account by plan, and a YouTube link does not count toward it. A LinkedIn carousel has no video. See Upload a video to a Meta or LinkedIn ad.

## Build a LinkedIn carousel

A carousel has 2 to 10 cards and starts with 2. The introductory text and Landing Page URL are shared by all cards.

- Click Add Card to add one, up to 10. Carousel Cards shows the count.
- Drag a card tab to change the order.
- On a card, Duplicate card copies it and Remove card deletes it. You cannot go below 2 cards.
- Each card has a Card Headline, up to 45 characters, a Card Description, up to 70 characters, and an optional Card URL. A card with no Card URL uses the shared Landing Page URL.

## See it on desktop and mobile

Click the desktop or mobile icon above the live preview. LinkedIn ads open in the mobile feed.

## Why my introductory text ends in ...more

The preview shows the first 150 characters of introductory text, then ...more, the way LinkedIn cuts long posts. Click ...more in the preview to read it all, and show less to fold it again. Your full text is saved.

## Save a picture of the ad

Copy as image copies the view on screen. Download PNG saves it as a picture. LinkedIn ads do not export as ads you import on LinkedIn.
