Import from Google Ads downloads live campaigns from your Google Ads account into a new preview, with their ad groups, keywords, ads, and extensions. The Free plan can link one Google Ads account, and Studio can link as many as you need. It only downloads. It never changes budgets, pauses ads, or sends edits back to Google Ads.

## How do I import a campaign from Google Ads?

1. On a dashboard, click New Preview. Pick Google Ads, then Responsive Search Ad, Responsive Display Ad, or Performance Max. Name the preview, pick Import from Google Ads, and click Connect & import. In Quick build, pick Google Ads, the format, then Import from Google Ads. On the first-ad screen, pick the Import from Google Ads card and click Connect & import.
2. One window called Import from Google Ads opens, headed "to" and your client's name. If you have not connected before, it says Sign in with Google to see your ad accounts. Click Continue with Google and sign in to the Google account that can see the ads. While you are on Google, the window says Waiting for Google, and it brings you straight back.
3. Your Google login and your Google Ads account sit side by side in that window. Pick a Google login, or click Use another Google login. Pick the account from the list, or search by name or customer ID. If the login has only one account, it is already selected.
4. Click Next: choose campaigns. The window lists the campaigns for the format. Switch between Search, Display, and Performance Max, check the campaigns you want, and leave Include account extensions checked to bring sitelinks and callouts too. Removed campaigns are hidden. Click Show removed to see them.
5. Click Import campaigns. The button shows how many you picked, such as Import 3 campaigns.

If you only want to connect an account, click Link Google Ads on a dashboard row. The same window opens as Link Google Ads and the button reads Link account. Afterwards you can click Import campaigns, or Done.

Importing shows each step, from Connecting to Google Ads to Creating preview. It keeps going if you close the window, and the preview appears in your client. Click Continue in background to go back to the dashboard while it runs. When it finishes, the window says, for example, 3 campaigns imported, and Open preview opens it. In the background, the Previews list shows the import's progress, and a notice says the preview was imported from Google Ads.

A Google login that has lost its connection shows Disconnected · Reconnect on its row in the window. Reconnect there, and the window reopens on that login. If you sign in as a different Google account than the one you meant to reconnect, the row says which one you signed in as and which one to use.

## Which ad types can I import?

Responsive Search Ads, Responsive Display Ads, and Performance Max. Responsive search and display import campaigns that contain that ad type. Performance Max imports Performance Max campaigns. Demand Gen, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, Multi-Channel, and Programmatic cannot be imported, so Import from Google Ads is greyed out for them.

## How do manager (MCC) accounts work?

A manager account shows as a header with a Manager tag, and its client accounts are listed under it. You pick a client account, not the manager. Click the arrow on the header to collapse it. Only the client accounts directly under a manager are listed.

## Can I use more than one Google account?

Yes. Each Google login you connect is saved, and the Google login list in the window lets you pick one each time. The one you used last is marked Last used. Each dashboard links to one Google Ads account at a time. On the Dashboards list, the Link column shows each dashboard's Google Ads link. Use the icon on a dashboard row to Link Google Ads or Unlink Google Ads. Unlinking happens straight away. Settings, under Integrations, lists your Google Ads connections.

## Does importing again update my preview?

No. Each import creates a new preview in the dashboard you started from. There is no sync button inside an existing preview. To bring in newer copy, import again and work in the new preview.

## Large imports

A big import can take 10 minutes or longer. There is no second question before it starts. Click Continue in background and keep working. The import carries on and the preview shows up in the client when it is done.

## What if the import fails?

- No Google Ads accounts on this login means that Google login has no Google Ads accounts. Click Refresh list, or use another Google login.
- Google Ads access wasn't allowed means the login was connected without the Google Ads permission. Reconnect and allow Google Ads access.
- Google is limiting requests means Google asked us to slow down. Wait a minute, then try again, or pick fewer campaigns.
- Couldn't load accounts means we could not reach Google Ads. Try again in a moment.
- Authentication error means the Google connection may have expired. Unlink and link the dashboard again, then click Try again.
- Permission denied means your login cannot see those campaigns. If you use a manager account, check it has access to the client account.
- A sync job is already in progress means an earlier download did not finish. Try fewer campaigns or refresh the page.

- A failed or stalled import in the Previews list has Retry and Dismiss.
- If a linked Google login is disconnected, the notification bell shows Google Ads disconnected, naming the account, with a Reconnect link. It is no longer a bar across the top of the dashboard.
- Google Ads import is part of Studio appears with Upgrade to Studio if your plan cannot load accounts or import campaigns.

Click Try again on the error screen to return to the campaign list.

## Can I import on the Free tier?

Yes, from one Google Ads account. On the Free plan you can link one Google login and import campaigns from it. To use a different Google login, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Unlink next to the linked account. Then connect the new one.

If you try to connect a second Google login while one is linked, you see Free includes 1 Google Ads account. Unlink it to connect another. with an Upgrade link. Studio has no limit on Google logins.

## How do I see or remove my linked Google Ads account?

Go to Settings, then Integrations. The Google Ads card lists each linked account with its email, and says Accounts used to import campaigns and refresh metrics. Click Connect to link one, or Unlink to remove one. Pick the account and it shows up on the card as connected. Unlinking removes the login and clears the link on any dashboard that used it. Previews you already imported stay in the editor.

## Can I connect Google Ads before I have any clients or dashboards?

Yes. Connect Google Ads in Settings, then Integrations, even with no clients or dashboards set up yet. The linked account waits on the Google Ads card, ready for your first import.

## Can I send my edits back to Google Ads?

No. The import is one way, from Google Ads into the editor. To use your edited ads, export them from the editor and upload the file in Google Ads Editor yourself.
