Track every approval in the Approval column of your dashboard's preview list. Nudge a reviewer who has not answered with Send reminder, and open Approval details to see who answered and to send a preview back. Approval and its reminders are Studio features.

## What do the approval statuses mean?

The Approval column shows one of these for each preview with an approval link:

- In review, with how long ago you asked, such as 2 days ago: the link is waiting for an answer.
- In review (rev.): you sent the preview back after changes, and it is waiting again.
- Approved, with the reviewer's name: the reviewer approved.
- Changes req., with the reviewer's name: the reviewer asked for changes.

A dash means the preview has no approval request. Long names are shortened in the column. Open Approval details to see the full name.

The bar at the top of the preview in the editor shows the same answer: Awaiting reviewer approval, Approved by, or Changes requested by, with how long ago the request was made.

For a Programmatic preview, the Approval column shows the overall review of its creatives. It has no bell and does not open Approval details.

## How do I nudge a reviewer who has not answered?

Where do I send a reminder to approve? From the Approval column of your dashboard's preview list. Send an approval reminder when they have not approved yet.

1. In your dashboard's preview list, find the preview that shows In review.
2. Click the bell beside the status. Its tooltip says Send reminder.
3. You see Reminder sent. The reviewer gets an email with the subject "… is waiting for your review", headed Reminder: Review requested, with Review now.

The bell only shows when the link has a Reviewer email. Add one in Share preview, under Approval. If your client typed an email when they answered an earlier request, that address is used too.

You can send one reminder every 24 hours for each request. Until then the bell is greyed out and its tooltip says Reminder sent today. Reminders only go out when you click the bell. Nothing is sent on a schedule.

There is no bell once the reviewer has answered, because there is nothing to remind them about.

## Where do I see the reviewer's answer?

Click the status in the Approval column. Approval details opens with the preview name and:

- the status, In Review, Approved or Changes Requested, and when the request was made
- Reviewer, with the name they typed, or the Reviewer email if they have not answered yet
- a Revision tag when you sent the preview back after changes
- Re-request approval, when the status is Changes Requested
- Copy link, which copies the share link so you can send it again

If the preview has no approval request, it says "No approval request found for this preview." The reviewer's comment is in the email you got when they answered.

## How do I send a preview back after changes?

1. Make the edits in the editor.
2. Click the status in the Approval column, then click Re-request approval. Or click Re-request approval on the bar at the top of the preview.
3. You see Approval re-requested. The column shows In review (rev.).

If the link has a Reviewer email, the reviewer gets a new request email that says "Please review the updated version." If something goes wrong, you see Failed to re-request approval. Try again in a moment.

## Is the Stage column the same as approval?

No. Stage is your own label for where a preview stands, such as Active, Paused or Pending. Approval is what your reviewer answered on the link. Changing the stage does not ask anyone to approve, and an approval does not change the stage.

To change a stage, click the pill in the Stage column, or the stage control in the editor's toolbar, and pick one. To make your own, type a name in Add new status... and press Enter, as the hint Press Enter to create & assign says. The new stage is set on that preview and listed under Custom Statuses for every preview in the workspace. A name can be up to 50 characters. A person on an Approval or Editor share link can pick a stage, but cannot create a new one.

## Does an approval keep old versions?

No. The record shows who answered and when. It is not version history. The share link always shows the current ad.
