The dashboard is the first page Budget Pacer opens. It shows every tracker's budget, spend and pace for the period you pick. Next to View at the top right, switch between Simple and Advanced. This page covers the parts both views share and the Simple view.

## The dashboard header

The large title is the period, such as Q3 2026 or Sep 2026. Under it you see the period dates and Actual spend through a date, which is the last completed day Budget Pacer counts. While the period is running you also see Today's spend excluded. Then come the number of accounts, trackers and campaigns. The label above the title shows sync status, such as Live and when data last synced, Syncing, Sync failed or Sync stalled.

## Switch between monthly and quarterly pacing

Use the buttons under the dashboard header. Choose Quarterly or Monthly, then pick Q1 to Q4. In Monthly, also pick the month. Every number on the dashboard follows this choice, and budgets switch between the tracker's quarterly and monthly amounts.

## The Simple view summary

A strip at the top of the Simple dashboard says how many trackers need attention, or that all trackers are on track. When some need attention, it also shows projected overspend or underspend. Chips count Need attention, On track and No budget. A tracker needs attention when its pace is above 115% or below 80% of the ideal pace, the same red band the Status column uses. The On track chip counts every other tracker that has a budget, including ones spending a bit fast or a bit slow.

## Filter and search trackers

Use All, Needs attention, On track or No budget to filter the tracker list, and Search trackers... to find one by name. Click a column name to sort. The heading of the list shows how many trackers are on screen out of the total, such as 6 of 12.

## Show only some tracker groups on the dashboard

Use the Groups menu above the tracker list. It reads All groups until you pick something. Tick one or more of your groups, and tick Ungrouped to include trackers that are in no group. The menu then shows how many you picked, such as 2 groups. The totals, the chart and the currency sections follow the filter. Click All groups to show everything again. If you have no groups yet, the menu says No groups yet. Use Manage groups to create one. A saved view keeps the groups you picked.

The controls above the list are labelled Engine, Currency, Group by and Groups.

## Show the dashboard in sections by platform or by group

Open the Group by menu above the tracker list and pick Group by platform, Group by my groups or Group by currency. Pick No grouping to go back to one list. With Group by platform the list heading shows a By channel label. Each section has its own heading with the number of trackers in it, and a subtotal line under it with the section's budget and yesterday's spend. Click a section heading to collapse or expand it. Your saved view remembers the grouping.

## Trackers in several currencies

When your linked accounts bill in two or more currencies, the dashboard on All currencies shows one section per currency, each with its own totals, and does not convert or add amounts across currencies. Use the Currency menu next to All engines to show one currency, or Group by currency to hold the sections in place. If the sections counted spend to different days, the header says Actual spend dates differ by currency. See Track budgets in multiple currencies.

The group menu on a tracker row, which moves it into one of your groups, sits under the tracker name.

## Select several trackers at once

Tick the checkbox at the start of each tracker row you want. A bar shows how many are selected. Use Move to group to put them all in one group, or pick Ungrouped, and click Clear to drop the selection. Each row also has its own group menu next to the name.

## Where do I see yesterday's spend?

In the Yesterday's spend column of the tracker table, in both the Simple and Advanced dashboards. Open a tracker row in Simple to see it in the details too.

## Columns in the Simple view

- Tracker: click the name to open the tracker's page, or the arrow beside it to expand its details in place. A long name wraps onto more lines, so you always see it in full. Underneath is the budget source chip, such as Manual or From Google Ads I/O. When the tracker was set up for one platform but its campaigns now all come from the other, a small note says Set up as and the platform you first chose. Pacing always follows the campaigns in the tracker. See What does Set up as Google mean under a tracker name? below.
- Status: On track, Spending a bit fast, Spending a bit slow, Spending too fast, Spending too slow, No budget, or No recent spend.
- Monthly Budget or Quarterly Budget: the budget for the selected period.
- Total Spend: spend in the period. The small line underneath splits actual spend through the last completed day from today so far.
- Current Pace: spend compared with the ideal pace, as a percent where 100% is exactly on plan, on wide screens. The Advanced view shows the same number.
- Projected Spend: where the tracker lands at period end, and how far over or under budget.
- Required Daily Spend: the daily average needed to land on budget.
- Yesterday's spend: spend on the latest completed day shared by the accounts in the view. Hover over the heading or a value to see the date. It shows a dash until that day has closed.
- Action: View, or Review when the tracker needs attention.

## What the Status labels mean

The Status column uses the same bands as the pacing legend in Quickstart.

- On track: pace is between 95% and 105% of the ideal pace.
- Spending a bit fast: above 105%, up to 115%. Shown in amber.
- Spending a bit slow: from 80% up to 95%. Shown in amber.
- Spending too fast: above 115%. Shown in red, and the tracker needs attention.
- Spending too slow: below 80%. Shown in red, and the tracker needs attention.
- No recent spend: there are no completed days in the period yet.
- No budget: the tracker has no budget for this period.

Hover over Spending too fast or Spending too slow to see what it means.

## Notices about changed history

A notice can appear above the trackers for the period on screen. Campaign mapping changed this period means a campaign moved between trackers, so its imported history moved too and pacing was recalculated. Imported historical spend corrected means a later refresh changed past spend by more than a rounding amount, so pacing was recalculated. Click the cross to hide the correction notice. Neither notice means anything changed in your ad accounts.

## Footer notes

The footer shows the currency all amounts use, such as All amounts in USD, when data last synced, that pacing is straight-line, and that today's spend is excluded. When the dashboard is split by currency, the footer says Amounts shown in each section's currency instead.

## Can I hide or shrink the Budget Pacer sidebar?

Yes. Click Collapse sidebar at the bottom of the left sidebar on any Budget Pacer page. It shrinks to a narrow rail of icons, and you can still hover each icon to see its name. Click Expand sidebar to bring it back. Your browser remembers the choice the next time you open Budget Pacer.

## What does Set up as Google mean under a tracker name?

Set up as and a platform name, such as Google, under a tracker name means you picked that platform when you created the tracker, but the campaigns in it now all come from the other platform. Nothing is wrong with the numbers. The dashboard puts the tracker under the platform its campaigns really come from, in the Engine menu and in Group by, and pacing follows those campaigns. To make the note go away, check the campaigns on the tracker page with Manage campaigns, or create a new tracker for the right platform.
