Open a job with **Open job** after a scan, from **Recent captures**, or from job history. The AdScanner job page shows every ad the scan captured, so you can compare them and pick the ones to keep.

## The top of the job page

While the job loads, the page says **Loading job…**. The heading is the advertiser you searched, with the job status beside it, such as **done**, **partial**, **running**, **queued**, **failed** or **cancelled**. **queued** means the search is waiting to start. The line under it says how many ads were captured, from a server search or with the extension, when, and how many are text, image and video. **Grid** shows ad cards. **Table** shows rows. **Refresh** reloads the job. The job also reloads when you come back to its browser tab.

## Stop a job that is still running

While a job reads **running**, a **Cancel** button sits next to **Refresh**. Click it to stop the server search. The job then shows **cancelled**, and job history lists it under **Failed**. Ads it already kept stay in the job. A cancelled search still counts toward your daily searches. A running job page reloads itself every few seconds and says **Waiting for the first capture…** until ads arrive.

## Format tiles on the job page

Tiles sum up the job. **All formats** counts every ad. **Search** holds text ads, which land as responsive search ads. **Display** holds image ads. **YouTube** holds video ads. Each tile shows its count, the average days live and its text, image and video split. Click a tile to show only that group, and click it again to show everything. A line beside the search box can say which group runs longest on average.

## Read an ad card

Each group lists the longest-running ads first. A card shows what AdScanner has for that ad, meaning the words drawn as a search ad, the captured image, or a live render from the Ads Transparency Center. Under it you see **Live N d**, the days between the first and last time Google showed the ad, and the month it started. The chip says where it lands, **RSA**, **RDA** or **YouTube**. When an ad has several versions, numbered buttons step through them. **See in Google Transparency Center** opens the ad on Google's own page.

## Pick or select ads on the job page

Click a card, or its **Add to Studio** button, to pick it. The button changes to **Added**. **Add all N** on a group picks that group. Type in **Search ad text…** to filter by words, display URL or advertiser, then **Select all N** picks what is on screen. A video card says **Video ads can't go to Studio yet**. A card with neither words nor a picture says **Nothing captured to send**. Picked ads go to the **Selected ads** panel, where you send or download them.

## Unpick an ad: Remove all and Clear

To remove an ad you picked by mistake, click the picked card again, or its **Added** button, to take it out. Once every ad in a group is picked, **Add all N** turns into **Remove all N**, and **Select all N** turns into **Clear N**. Click either to unpick those ads. In the **Selected ads** panel, the x at the end of an ad's row removes it too.

## The Selected ads panel

The panel's heading shows **N picked**. With nothing picked it says **Add ads from the gallery. Each format lands as its own ad group.** Picked ads are listed by where they land, such as **RSA ad group · 2 ads** or **RDA ad group · 1 ad**, with each ad's days live. A display ad with no words carries the note **Lands as an empty-copy display ad**, followed by a note that Studio's import has no image field. Picks are not saved. If you leave the job page, pick the ads again when you come back.

## Can image ads go into the editor?

Yes. An image ad that shows a picture can be picked from the **Display** group and sent. AdScanner reads any words it can from the picture when you send, and the ad lands as a display ad. The picture itself does not travel into the editor, so add an image there. Image ads do not go in the spreadsheet download. Only video ads cannot be sent at all.

## "This is a discovery job"

This AdScanner notice means the server search found the ads and how long each ran, but no headline or description text. The cards are pictures of the ads. The notice ends with **Image creatives with a stored image can still be added as empty-copy display ads.** When you send or download picked ads, AdScanner reads their words first. You can also read an ad on Google's page with **See in Google Transparency Center**.

A second version of the notice can show above the ad list. It says the server search found the creatives and how long each has run, but not their copy, because the Ads Transparency Center does not return headlines or descriptions, and asks you to open the ones worth having to read the words on the creative's own page. It means the same thing, and image ads can still be sent.

## When the job shows no ads

- **This job captured nothing.** means the search ended without ads. Run it again from the home page, or widen **Format** and **Channel**.
- **No captured ad matches** followed by what you typed, or **No captured ad matches these filters.**, means your filter hides every ad. Clear **Search ad text…** or click the format tile again. On a discovery job the page adds **This job captured no ad copy, so only the advertiser and display URL are searchable.**

## Table view

**Table** lists **Advertiser**, **Format**, **First shown**, **Last shown**, **Live for** and **Region**, with a link to each ad's Transparency Center page. A job with words shows **Campaign**, **Ad group**, **Headlines**, **Descriptions**, **Final URL** and **Sitelinks** instead. The **Selected ads** panel appears in **Grid** view only.
