This page covers the **Connect** page that links a Chrome extension to your PPC Ad Editor workspace, and the **Manage workspace** and **Settings** pages for AdScanner.

## Connect an extension to your workspace

Connecting links the AdScanner or AdMinerX Chrome extension to your workspace. For AdScanner, the **Connect** page says it turns on job history and **Send to Studio**, and that your captures stay in the extension either way. For the AdMinerX extension, see the note below.

1. Open the extension's popup. In AdScanner, click **Connect your account**. In AdMinerX, click **Connect**.
2. Chrome may ask for permission to talk to PPC Ad Editor. Allow it. The popup then opens **Connect AdScanner** or **Connect AdMinerX** in PPC Ad Editor. Sign in if you are asked to.
3. Click **Connect this extension**.
4. When the page says **AdScanner is connected** or **AdMinerX is connected**, you can close the tab. AdScanner extension captures then appear in AdScanner job history.

## Connecting the AdMinerX extension does not save its captures

AdMinerX extension captures stay in your browser, even when the extension is connected. They do not reach AdMinerX job history. The **Connect AdMinerX** page says so, and after a capture the popup says captures from this extension are not saved to your AdMinerX account. You can still download them from the popup. To keep a search in your account, save the Google results page and use **Upload saved page (.html)** on the AdMinerX page. That upload is the capture you can keep and send to the editor.

## Do I have to connect to capture with the AdMinerX extension?

No. Capturing and **Download .xlsx** in the AdMinerX popup work without an account. Connecting only links the extension to your workspace.

## If the Connect page shows a problem

- **Start from the extension.** You opened the page without the popup's one-time code. Click connect in the extension's popup.
- **That extension is not installed in this browser.** Add the extension first, then start from its popup.
- **That connect link has expired. Open the extension popup and click Connect again.**
- **This link points at an extension we do not recognise.** Start the connection from the extension's own popup.
- **That extension did not identify itself as AdScanner** (or AdMinerX). Start the connection from the extension's own popup.
- **The extension did not answer.** Make sure the extension is installed and turned on, then try again from its popup.
- **Connecting needs permission to talk to PPC Ad Editor.** The popup shows this when the Chrome permission was not allowed. Click connect again and allow it.

## What connecting shares

The extension gets a token for your workspace, never your PPC Ad Editor password or session. **Disconnect** in the popup takes that token away. Connecting again replaces the old token instead of adding a second one.

## The Manage workspace page

The **Manage workspace** page for AdScanner and AdMinerX lists **Members**, **Billing**, **Google Ads accounts** and **Security**. Each row opens the matching PPC Ad Editor settings. **Billing** covers the Studio plan and invoices for this workspace, and the page says every tool in the left menu bills to this workspace. **Manage workspace** at the bottom of the left menu opens billing directly.

## Settings in the left menu

**Settings** in the AdScanner section of the left menu opens your settings. Under **Account** there are **Profile** and **Login & security**. Under **Workspace** there are **Plans & billing** and **Invoices & receipts**. Under **Studio** there are **Users & dashboards**, **Integrations** and **API Keys**.

## Why can't I see Plans & billing in Settings?

**Plans & billing** shows only for workspace members whose role can view billing. **Invoices & receipts** shows for everyone, but some roles see the invoice list with the amounts hidden, and only owners and billing members can download invoice PDFs. Ask a workspace owner if you need to change the plan.
