Just got Ad Recap? Here is what to do first. Connect one ad account, read its changes on the Dashboard, then pick when your recap email arrives. It should take about a minute to get your first recap report.

1. Open Accounts in the Ad Recap menu and connect your Google Ads or Microsoft Ads account.
2. Tick the accounts to watch and click Add. Ad Recap loads their last 28 days of changes.
3. Open Dashboard to read who changed what.
4. Open Settings to choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly emails and your timezone.

Each step is below. If you have not started Ad Recap yet, start with the trial.

## Start a trial

When your workspace does not have Ad Recap yet, the left menu lists it under Add to your suite. Clicking it opens the Ad Recap trial screen at /trial/recap.

1. If the trial screen lists your Google Ads accounts, pick the one to recap. The trial covers one account, and you can add more later.
2. Click Start my free trial. Only workspace owners and billing members can start it. Anyone else sees Ask an owner or billing member to start this trial.
3. Ad Recap opens on its Dashboard at /adrecap.

To pay straight away, open Already sure? Skip the trial and subscribe from $19/mo, then click Subscribe. If your workspace has already used its Ad Recap trial, the trial screen takes you to checkout instead.

If you never start a trial, or your trial ends without a subscription, Ad Recap stays usable on its free plan: 1 ad account and the last 7 days of history. See Ad Recap free plan.

## Connect your first account

Until you add an account, the Dashboard says Connect your ad accounts, and the Accounts screen says Your first recap takes about a minute, with three steps: Sign in to the ad platform, Choose the accounts to watch, and Get the recap.

1. Open Accounts in the Ad Recap menu, or click Connect Your First Account on the empty Dashboard.
2. Click Connect account, or click the Google Ads or Microsoft Ads tile under Start with.
3. In the account picker, tick the accounts you want in the recap. A manager account is listed with its child accounts, and Select all ticks the whole group.
4. Click the Add button, for example Add 2 accounts. Ad Recap starts watching them right away and loads their changes from the last 28 days.

If a tile says Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Microsoft or Google, your workspace has no login for that platform yet. Click the tile and sign in. You come back to Accounts and the account picker opens. Each new account shows Loading and Loading last 28 days… while Ad Recap reads its history, which usually takes under a minute.

## Read your first changes on the Dashboard

1. Open Dashboard in the Ad Recap menu.
2. Pick Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Last 30 days at the top. On the free plan, Last 14 days and Last 30 days show a lock. Click one to see Upgrade for longer history.
3. Click Sync now to fetch the latest changes for that range.
4. Read the Written recap at the top, then the list of changes under it. Click any change to see its old and new values.

## Choose your emails

When does the recap email arrive? At 8:00 AM in the timezone you pick in Settings. Recap emails start as soon as you add your first account. Until you change them, they go out Weekly, on Mondays at 8:00 AM UTC.

1. Open Settings in the Ad Recap menu.
2. Under Delivery, pick Daily, Weekly or Monthly. Weekly is the default.
3. In the Timezone menu, pick your timezone, so the email arrives at 8:00 AM your time.
4. Under Recipients, add anyone else who should get the recap email.

Daily arrives every morning at 8:00. Weekly arrives on Mondays and covers the past 7 days. The monthly recap email arrives on the 1st of each month at 8:00 AM and covers the month before. You cannot pick another day or hour.

Your settings save on their own.
