To hook up your ad accounts to Ad Recap, connect Google Ads and Microsoft Ads from inside Ad Recap, on the Accounts screen. Sign-in starts there and brings you back there, and the account picker opens as soon as you finish. You do not need to connect Google Ads in Budget Pacer first, and Ad Recap no longer asks you to. Logins your workspace already saved, in Ad Recap or in Budget Pacer, show up in the picker without signing in again.

## Connect Google Ads

1. Open Accounts in the Ad Recap menu and click the Google Ads tile. Before your first account, the tiles sit under Start with. After that, they sit under Add a platform.
2. If the tile says Sign in with Google, Google's sign-in opens. Sign in with the Google login that has access to your Google Ads accounts.
3. You come back to the Ad Recap Accounts screen. It says Finishing Google Ads sign-in…, then Google Ads connected, and the account picker opens.
4. Tick the accounts to watch and click the Add button, for example Add 3 accounts.

If the tile already says something like 4 accounts available, your workspace has a Google login saved, and the tile opens the account picker straight away.

## Watch a Microsoft Ads account

Can Ad Recap watch my Microsoft Ads account? Yes, as well as Google Ads. Connect a Microsoft Ads account like this.

1. Open Accounts in the Ad Recap menu and click the Microsoft Ads tile. It says Sign in with Microsoft or Google until a login is saved.
2. Ad Recap asks How do you sign in to Microsoft Ads? Click With a Microsoft account or With a Google account. Use the same login you use at ads.microsoft.com. Pick With a Google account only if your Microsoft Ads account was created with Google sign-in.
3. Sign in. You come back to the Ad Recap Accounts screen, it says Microsoft Ads connected, and the account picker opens.
4. Tick the accounts and click Add.

For Microsoft Ads, Ad Recap reads the change history of search campaigns.

## Add an account from a different login

In the account picker for one platform, click Use another login next to Signed in as. That starts the same sign-in, so you can add accounts that sit under another Google or Microsoft login. If the picker says No Google Ads accounts on your saved logins yet, click Sign in to Google Ads, or Sign in to Microsoft Ads.

## Reconnect a Google Ads account that is disconnected

When a banner on the Ad Recap Accounts screen says an account is disconnected from Google Ads, click Reconnect on that banner. Sign in to Google with the same login as before. You come back to the Ad Recap Accounts screen. In the account picker, a disconnected account also has its own Reconnect button.

## Reconnect an account that shows Error or Expired

On the Ad Recap Accounts screen, a row with an Error or Expired status shows a Reconnect button, and the line under its change count says what went wrong.

1. Click Reconnect. Ad Recap opens the sign-in for that platform. A Microsoft Ads account signs in the same way it did before, with Microsoft or with Google.
2. Sign in with the same login as before.
3. Back on the Accounts screen, a message starts, for example, with Google Ads reconnected and goes on to say it is resuming 2 accounts. Every account under that login that was in Error or Expired is Connected again.
4. To fetch its changes now instead of at the next automatic check, open the Account options menu on the row and click Sync now.

If the row says Connection needs re-authorization. Please disconnect and reconnect your Google Ads account., click Reconnect on the row and follow the same steps. Do not use Disconnect for this. Disconnecting deletes the account's saved change history, and adding it back only loads the last 28 days. Reconnect keeps the history.

## When sign-in fails

If sign-in does not finish, a red notice at the top of the Accounts screen says why, for example Sign-in could not be verified. Please try again. Close it with the ×, then click the tile again. If an account cannot be added, the picker marks that account and a message says how many could not be added.

## Platforms you can connect

Ad Recap connects to Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, and to Meta Ads where it is enabled for your workspace. It only reads your account data and change history, so it cannot pause campaigns, edit budgets or spend money. Meta Ads is not open to every workspace. Where it is enabled, its tile says Sign in with Meta and connects the same way as Google Ads. Where it is not, the tile is locked and says Not enabled for this account. There is no switch to turn it on yourself. To ask for Meta Ads on your workspace, ask Albert to open a support ticket, or use the contact page at https://www.ppcadeditor.com/contact-us/.

If you open /adrecap/connections, you land on the same Ad Recap Accounts screen.
